The beginning
Every business has a story. Ours began during one of the most uncertain times in the world — the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, when businesses were closing and life as we knew it had suddenly changed, my regular job at a restaurant here in Bangkok was temporarily shut down. Like many others, I found myself facing uncertainty and wondering how I would continue earning a living.
But sometimes, life’s unexpected challenges lead us toward opportunities we never imagined.
That’s when I discovered Krung Thong Plaza, a shopping destination in Bangkok known for catering to the plus-size fashion community.
With just 10,000 Thai baht in starting capital, I decided to take a chance.
It was a humble beginning, and every single sale mattered.
At that time, my goal was simple: I needed to sell the items I purchased so I would have enough funds to buy new stocks the following day. There wasn’t much room for mistakes, and every decision counted.
The pandemic made everything even more challenging. Suppliers operated on limited schedules, with pickups allowed only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Every Tuesday, I would visit the mall, select clothing pieces, and prepare for my Facebook Live selling that evening. The following Wednesday, I would return to collect the orders from suppliers.
Shipping was another challenge. Courier services were difficult to arrange and expensive, adding more uncertainty to an already difficult situation.
But despite all these challenges, there was excitement.
More Than Just Selling Clothes
During a time when people were staying home, something special began to happen.
Our Facebook Live sessions became more than just a place to shop. They became a way to connect, share stories, laugh, and bring a little excitement into people’s daily routines.
Through a simple phone screen, we somehow became part of each other’s lives.
One of the most beautiful blessings of this journey is that many of the customers who supported BPS OOTD from the very beginning in 2021 are still with us today.
Over the years, some have become more than customers. They have become genuine friends.
What started as a small business during the pandemic slowly grew into a community built on trust, friendship, and shared experiences.
And that is something I will always treasure.
Taking a Leap of Faith
As the world slowly recovered from the pandemic, life began returning to normal.
I returned to my regular job at the restaurant while continuing to manage BPS OOTD.
For a while, I tried to balance both worlds. But as the restaurant became busier and the business continued growing, managing both became increasingly difficult.
Eventually, I knew I had to make a decision.
Around 2024, I spoke with my boss and shared my desire to give BPS OOTD my full attention.
It was a significant turning point in my life.
What began as a temporary way to earn a living had become something I genuinely believed in — something I wanted to nurture, develop, and grow.
What started out of necessity had become a passion and a dream worth pursuing.
And since making that decision, Bangkok Plus Size OOTD has continued to blossom.
Growing Together, Learning Together
Today, when I look at how far BPS OOTD has come, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
We are still learning.
We are still improving.
And we are certainly far from perfect.
Like any growing business, we have faced challenges, made mistakes, and experienced moments that taught us valuable lessons.
But through it all, so many of our customers have continued to stand by us.
To our beloved Mga Madam Ko, thank you for your patience, understanding, loyalty, and continued trust.
Your support reminds us every day why we started and why we must continue striving to become better.

I may have started this journey alone, but I certainly didn’t get here alone.
Today, I am incredibly grateful for the team standing beside me.

We are proud of how far we’ve come, but we also know that there is still so much to learn, improve, and accomplish.
